VRL USA and VRL CHINA offers nonhuman primate diagnostic services and innovative solutions to our customers worldwide. The services we provide are used by Colony Managers, Zoos, Veterinarians, Pharmaceutical/Biotech and Research organizations. VRL USA was established in 1988 by Dr. S.S. Kalter and Dr. Richard Heberling in San Antonio Texas. The lab was sold to Esoterix, Inc in 1998 and the simian lab was purchased back from Esoterix in 2004. Since 2004 we have continued to grow our assay offerings as well as multiple methodologies. In 2007 we hired Dr. Chih-Ling Zao, who is now our Chief Scientific Officer.
VRL CHINA was established in 2006 and is a partnership between VRL USA and Xishan Biotechnology Inc. Dr. Chungjun Shi is our senior director and oversees all lab functions and marketing. The lab was originally started in Xishan China, and due to its growth, the lab has now moved to Suzhou Industrial Park.
